 Well, I flushed, itched and got a queasy stomach with Slo-Niacin, 2007-12-31
I tried this particular preparation of Niacin because the product description said it may lessen the side effects. I'm here to report its side effects are multiple and exceedingly uncomfortable. About two hours after I took my first tablet, I got incredibly hot and itchy. Then the red flush started, creeping all over my face, chest and arms, and the itch got even worse. That was when the queasy stomach started. It took well over an hour for the side effects to subside. It was rather scary and dreadfully uncomfortable. I have taken Niacin supplements before, never with this kind of reaction. These Slo-Niacin tablets are destined for the dumpster. I'll not take them again. Needless to say, after this experience, I can't recommend this product.

Like previous reviewer, am taking this on Dr's advice. Some concern that high dose niacin would cause upset stomach and flushing (turning red like you are blushing all the time) Neither has occurred yet!
